Fantastic Family Waikiki Vacation

First trip since 2020 and Waikiki was the perfect place to vacation. This unit was also perfectly suited for a family of four (with 2 children < 10). The unit was immaculate, well appointed, having all the comforts you would want in a home away from home. The kitchen had all appliances you would need, including a small amount of starter supplies. Definitely go to a Costco or Don Quijote for groceries (and souvenirs to take home) and stock up for your stay. Comfortable King-sized bed in the bedroom (sliding door to enclose the room). The pull out sofa worked well for the children, they thought it was comfortable (but we did not sleep on it). The lanai was great with comfortable chairs and a table for drinks and reading. And the view was excellent – the lanai faces Waikiki Beach and you can see Diamond Head to the east. Laundry machines were right next to the unit (1 dryer, 1 washer, $2.50 each) coin operated (there was an app you could download to pay as well). We never had an issue waiting to use them. There is change machine on the main floor, but it seemed to be out of coins often, in which case just ask the front desk for change. Free parking is a major perk as well. Of course, the location is ideal – a long block from Kuhio Beach and the Waikiki strip, the Honolulu Zoo to the east. We even walked to the KCC farmer's market on Saturday. The pool on the 6th floor is a great place to go if you need a break from the crowd of the beaches as well. Couple of other items: 2 beach chairs were well used, and AC was very necessary. Overall, we were all very impressed with the unit and the building. (Yes, the building is older and the hallways look a little dated, but did not take away from the overall enjoyment of the property). This is a great home base for your Waikiki stay!
