Overall a great stay. You can see the view from the pics, but you should have a semi sunrise view each morning but the sunset is not visible. The building location is ~3-5 blocks away from the super bougie part of Waikiki. The nice part of this is that you’re walking distance to the fancy area, but you don’t have the insanity of street performers, and locals with various types of loud combustion engines vying for attention. The “con” of this is that you’re in the slightly less polished part of Waikiki, but that wasn’t really an issue for us at all.
The unit is well equipped and all the items they say they have are indeed there. Unit isn’t hyper modern and updated but certainly super clean and comfortable.
One thing to note is that this airbnb doesn’t have what I’ll call a “pass it on” kind of ethos for small things like coffee, olive oil, laundry soap, etc. Meaning anything you leave behind will be tossed or kept, and not left for the next guest. Usually at an Airbnb I’d leave stuff behind for the next guest, so like instead of buying a single load of detergent for $2.00 I’d buy a large container from the store and leave the extra – but since I knew the remaining detergent would be tossed or kept, I just got enough for just myself. How much this matters to you I guess depends on what you think the culture of an Airbnb should be,I’m regarding this “pass it forward” aspect.
Otherwise the unit was great, will def. consider booking again if staying in the Waikiki area.
